Stand Fast — Terms of Service
These terms apply when you download or play Stand Fast ("the game"), published by Thumb Fort (Pty) Ltd ("we"). By playing, you agree to them. If you get the game from Google Play, Google's own terms also apply to the download and to any payments.
1. Your licence to play
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and play the game on Android devices you own or control, for your own entertainment. The game, including its artwork, sounds and code, belongs to Thumb Fort and its licensors. The licence lets you play it, not copy, resell or redistribute it.
2. In-game items, adverts and Remove ads
Scores, salvage, upgrades and sky-clears are part of the game, not property with real-world value:
- they are for use inside the game only;
- they cannot be exchanged for money or anything of value outside the game;
- how they are earned and how much they are worth may change as the game's design evolves.
The game is free and shows adverts served by Google AdMob, a third-party provider, under Google's own terms: a full-screen advert between runs, never during play. You can switch adverts off with Remove ads, a one-off purchase made through Google Play. It belongs to your Google account, comes back when you reinstall or play on another phone with the same account, and stays for as long as the game is offered. Payment and refunds are handled by Google Play under Google Play's refund policy, plus any rights your local law gives you that cannot be waived. Remove ads switches off adverts only; it does not change the game's waves, scores or upgrades.
3. Fair play
Please don't tamper with the game's stored data or code, and don't use the game for anything unlawful. The game is single-player and your scores are yours, but we may decline support for problems caused by edited data.
4. Your scores
Your best score and recent runs are stored on your device. We don't hold a copy and cannot restore scores that have been cleared or lost with the device. The game sends us only a one-time install notice, and Google receives what adverts and purchases need; the privacy policy sets out exactly what.
5. A game that keeps changing
Stand Fast is still being developed. Waves, threats, upgrades, looks and sounds may change, content may be added or retired, and a later version may not be compatible with scores from an earlier one. Feedback you send us may be used to improve the game without any obligation to you and without payment.
6. Changes to the game and these terms
If these terms change materially, the effective date above changes and the new terms apply from your next update of the game.
7. Warranty and liability
The game is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent your local law allows. To the same extent, our liability for any loss arising from the game is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the last twelve months (for a free game with no purchases, that is zero). Nothing in these terms limits rights that your local consumer law does not allow to be limited.
8. Termination
You can stop using the game at any time by uninstalling it. We may end this licence if you materially breach these terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections of the country you live in.
