Stand Fast — Privacy Policy
Stand Fast is a game published by Thumb Fort (Pty) Ltd, a company registered in South Africa, registration number 2026/698144/07. This page explains what the game records, what it sends and why. From version 0.12.0 the game shows adverts and offers a one-off Remove ads purchase; earlier versions sent nothing at all.
WHAT STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE
The game keeps a few things on your device: your best score and best wave, your last ten runs, your settings (which look you chose, dark or light, whether sound is on), how many runs you have finished and when the last advert showed (so adverts keep their spacing), and whether you own Remove ads. This is stored in the app's own storage. Settings has a row called Delete my data that removes all of it, along with any play logs, in one tap; clearing the app's storage in Android settings does the same. After Delete my data the game keeps one yes-or-no note that it has already announced its installation (below), so the same installation is not counted twice; no identifier is kept with it.
Settings has a switch called Save play logs. It is off unless you turn it on. When it is on, the game writes a file for each run into the Downloads/ember folder on your phone, describing the taps and the waves of that run, so that a tester can send it to us by hand if they choose to. The game never sends these files itself. Delete my data removes them; you can also delete them like any other file in Downloads, which is the way to remove any left by an earlier install of the game.
INSTALL NOTICE
The first time the game runs it sends us one message saying that it has been installed: a random identifier the app makes and keeps (so a repeated attempt is counted once), the app version, which store it came from, and the phone's manufacturer, model and Android version. That is all. It carries no name, account, advertising identifier or location, and we use it only to count installations. Once the message has gone through, the app forgets the identifier, so nothing on your phone links you to it afterwards. The message goes to our own server, which keeps the record (without your IP address) for as long as we count installations and notifies us of each new one through Telegram. Like any web server, ours sees the connection's IP address in its routine access logs, which we use only to keep the service running.
ADVERTISING
Stand Fast shows adverts served by Google AdMob. One kind only: a full-screen advert when you leave the end-of-run card, never while you are playing and not before your seventh finished run. After that, one roughly every six finished runs. Adverts are requested with a family-safe content rating.
To serve and measure these adverts, Google's advertising software in the app collects your device's advertising identifier, general device information (model, operating system, language, and a coarse location derived from your IP address), information about the adverts shown and tapped, and diagnostics about how the app and its adverts perform (for example load times and errors). Google uses this under Google's Privacy Policy and its advertising terms. Thumb Fort receives only aggregate reports (how many adverts were shown and what they earned), never anything about you as an individual.
Your choices. Where the law requires it (for example in the EU, the UK and some US states), a consent question appears before the first advert, and you can change your answer at any time with Ad choices in the game's Settings. Anywhere else the same row tells you that no consent choice applies. You can also reset or delete your advertising identifier, or opt out of personalised adverts, in your phone's Google settings; adverts then continue but are not tailored to you. Buying Remove ads switches the adverts off for good.
PURCHASES
Remove ads is a one-off purchase made through Google Play. Google handles the payment under its own terms; we never see your card or payment details, only that the purchase exists so the game can switch adverts off. The purchase belongs to your Google account: reinstalling the game, or installing it on another phone with the same account, brings it back automatically, and tapping Remove ads in Settings checks again. Delete my data does not remove a purchase.
WHAT WE DO NOT DO
No accounts and no sign-in. No name, email address, phone number, contacts, precise location, photos, microphone or camera. We do not sell data, and we do not build profiles or track you across other apps or websites. The only data leaving the game goes to the services named above (Google for adverts and purchases, and our own install notice) for the jobs described above. All of it travels encrypted.
CHILDREN
Stand Fast is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them. Adverts are requested with a family-safe content rating.
CHANGES
If what the game records or sends changes, this page is updated first, the date at the top changes, and the Google Play listing's data safety section says what is collected.
CONTACT
Questions about this policy, or a request about your data: admin@thumbfort.games. Everything the game keeps is on your phone and Delete my data removes it; for anything held by Google for adverts or purchases, use your Google account settings or contact Google.
